What are you favorite summer or beach gadgets and gizmos?

Sile Beach

Sile just 70 kilometers from Istanbul. The widespread sandy beaches and the ruins of a Genoese castle draw visitors year round. Most of the beaches offer changing rooms, toilets and restaurants, and there is a fairly wide range of hotels and pensions, and in summer they are best booked in advance. Buses leave Istanbul regularly from the Harem bus station.

It is a delightful holiday center, close to Istanbul, offering excellent fish restaurants and hotels. The Şile highway is almost completed however the remainder of the road is narrow and very crowded on weekends.

There is also a very nice picnic area, which belongs to the municipality, on the entrance to the district. If you turn left before the entrance to Şile and drive for about 2 km you’ll arrive at Kumbaba (Sand Father). This is a camping area with a marvelous beach and fine sand where you can find changing cabins, showers, toilettes and a small buffet selling refreshments and sandwiches.

Uzunya Beach

it’s actually one of the most romantic places around. In a small little bay that’s completely a beach. Although crowded in summer, the excellent fish restaurant Uzunya Balik’s is quiet and romantic in winter. You can also rent out little spaces where you can go with your caravan, car or tent. The fresh sea air, lots of good food, and peace and quiet, the perfect place to get up to no good naughtiness. The place is also very popular for motorbikers that visit this spot frequently.

Already some of the highest current temperatures across the country were seen in İstanbul at 21 degrees Celsius, Bursa at 22 degrees Celsius, Ankara at 16 degrees Celsius and İzmir and Adana at 20 degrees Celsius.

Summer is nearly upon us. As the days start to lengthen, thoughts of beach getaways, concerts, picnics, and bonfires become more frequent in our minds, don’t they?

Thankfully, all these activities are within reach if you’re in Istanbul.

Dalia Beach Club

Dalia Beach Club is located near by Solar, on a small, breezy inlet of the Black Sea off the road ensures privacy for this upscale family club with an excellent fish restaurant attached. Dalia contains a small café and restaurant offering traditional Turkish fare with an emphasis on seafood. Rattan umbrellas and cushy lounge furniture is strewn across the bright green grass and on the small beach. Adventurous types can part-take in treks through the woods nearby or participate in games of beach volleyball.

This beach is for those who believe a day at the beach should be relaxing and tranquil. Though Dalia is spacious enough to guarantee a bit of privacy and green enough to delight even the most judgmental nature-lovers, you can still enjoy some physical activity if you so choose. There are areas designated for trekkers as well as paddleboats and canoes available for use; beachgoers can also partake in beach volleyball and surfing.

The food and drink options have also been thought out with care and attention; the breakfast menu is prepared with regional products (the feta cheese comes from Ezine, while the honey comes from Fethiye). The fish menu is also the perfect way to end your day. The Dalia Beach Café provides enough options to satisfy any palate. Make sure to browse the stands selling regional-natural village products.
